i know y’all talking shit about how alec’s bed is too small for his gigantic frame but tbh this just confirms alec is the little spoon because he obviously sleeps all curled up into himself otherwise he wouldn’t be able to sleep comfortably. and that is, of course, the Optimal Position for magnus bane to hold alec to his chest as they sleep, bracketing his entire body with his own.

alec lightwood loves sleeping on his side, curling his long legs up and pressing his face into his forearms. he loves the comfort of being curled into himself like that when he’s alone. but when magnus is there, pressed up against his back, an arm wrapped around his waist and fingertips slowly, methodically rubbing soothing circles into his stomach, it’s the most comforting thing he’s ever felt in his life. to be held like that, to be the little spoon, to feel the comforting radiating warmth of magnus’s body and to sink into sleep knowing that magnus is close.

and he loves waking up and gently rolling over, pressing his face into magnus’s neck and tangling their legs together, sinking fingers into magnus’s shirt and humming against his skin.
